NWPS was invited to participate in the Northern Beaches Instrument Festival. Four of our bands participated – Senior Concert Band (SCB), Intermediate Concert Band (ICB), Training Band (TB) and our Jazz Band (JB).
The festival included an appraiser watching all of the bands and providing feedback to help the bands to continue to grow. We received some very positive feedback, including Dave Odams being singled out as an outstanding conductor and the appraiser getting everyone to give him a round of applause!
Our band program starts from year 3, and students from year 3, 4 , 5 and 6 are welcome to join. We also have a strings program available from Kindy to Year 6. No previous musical experience is require to join Training Band. Please contact our music and band team via the contact us page for more information.
