Music by Moonlight was an interesting experience, full of funny moments and chaotic events. Seven schools attended including us. These were Normanhurst PS, Turramurra PS, Pennant Hill PS, Thornleigh West PS, Warrawee PS and us. All of the bands played exceptionally well and we are very proud to be able to host this fantastic tradition. It is customary that the band captains introduce each band to the stage as the audience is settling down. Each band will then perform 3 pieces of their choice to showcase their talents and what they have been working on throughout the year.
At the end of the night, all the bands came together to play two combined pieces, Groovee and You Belong with Me. The conductor Mr Dave Odams had to stand on multiple stage blocks to be able to see us all and the sound was extraordinarily loud. We all played amazingly and had a fantastic time. When the combined performance was over, all the band representatives took a photo to serve as a reminder of this experience. It was amazing to be able to watch so many of the past band captains run this tradition and it was even better to be able to do it ourselves. We are very grateful for this opportunity.
