All students enrolled in the band program should have a tutor for their instrument with regular (weekly) tutorials throughout the school year. All Training Band students should ideally have at least two lessons prior to their first band rehearsal if possible.
Tutors should be chosen from our recommended tutor list below. These tutors have established track records and have been specifically chosen by the NWPS band program. Only if these tutors cannot provide a tutorial time should other tutors be sought. We can provide contact details for alternative tutors for all instruments. If you wish to engage a tutor who is not currently on our list, the tutor needs to submit their information to NWPS band program for assessment to be added to the approved tutor list before the student can start in band. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!
